Life in rural Virginia is great – I love waking to the view of the sunrise over the Blue Ridge Mountains everyday.

BUT the high speed internet choices are limited- mostly to satellite. For years we struggled along with dial up. I hung out in coffee shops when I needed to upload photos, send or recieve attachments, write blog posts,etc. Not the most efficient use of my time. So what is Social Media – Web2.0?
My short & sweet definition of Social Media is putting the individual into the internet by creating personal online relationships often in real time.
Short & sweet version definition of Web2.0 is allowing the user to create content. Webpages are no longer static but ever evolving. Perhaps the best know example would be Wikipedia.
